S4 Ep. 53 "Kiss the Rain"
On this episode, I take you pn the go with me to Arrowhead Lake. It's this smaller lake in a remote area, where if you weren't paying close attention, you might just pass it right by. I found this lake by what I would like to call universal pull on my energy.
I had taken this road out to the suburbs for many, many years, just simply passing this entrance to what looked like to nowhere but trees, and a parking lot with a visible canopy for hosting get togethers.
One day, I just turned right into it. I remember stopping abruptly to make this turn, as this road has a high speed limit, so I was traveling faster than usual. Of all days, why this day?
Anyways, I pulled in and noticed that this road lead further back, and as I was traveling around the bend, coming up to an opening, there it was, the sight of a majestical lake. The sunlight's reflection bouncing off the lake, as geese were waddling around the grassy hills that outlined the lake, just gave me the smile. I parked my car and didn't get out this time at least. I was too nervous, too timid, there people all around. Some were fishing, some were laying on blankets soaking up the sun's warmth. I just sat in my car and reflected on life, on what it was I was going through at that time.
Fast forward over almost two years, and here I am visiting my spot, sitting in my car, doing my podcast. I say in my car because a huge thunderstorm rolled in quickly out of nowhere. So why not do the podcast anyways; I mean divine timing. Perfect setting, perfect weather, perfect moment.
In this episode I share just that; the release of old wounds, I no longer have to carry with me. Instead I cry with gratitude at how far I have come. I promised you I'd be transparent, vulnerable, and share with you how I respond/handle moments such as these.
Disclaimer: I am not a professional, just someone sharing her healing journey on her own.
